Inner West Council is holding a Bushcare Working Bee at Cadigal Reserve in Summer Hill this Sunday, 26 February from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm. Come along and lend a hand and spend some time with your hands in the soil, caring for and learning about our local plants and environment. New volunteers are welcome and no experience is necessary. Morning tea is provided.
The Inner West Environment Group is holding two working bees to repair the damage caused by last week's flash flooding at the Pigott Street site and to weed and prepare new beds for Autumn plantings at the Waratah Mills bushcare site. Come along and help improve our local environment this Sunday, February 19 from 9.30am - 12.30pm. For more information click here.
The latest editon of our e-newsletter is out now. It's been a big year for the GreenWay, with over $15 million committed to complete the GreenWay Missing Links and the hand-over by Transport NSW of six new bush care sites. Our annual GreenWay Art Exhibition toured to three venues in seven weeks and our schools program continued to expand. You can read all about it here.
A big thank you to all our volunteers for your time and effort invested in GreenWay activities this year, ranging from bush care and cycling advocacy to sustainability education and public art.
