Inner West Council is inviting local residents to attend Council’s free Nurseries Open Day on 26 May to learn more about native gardening and hear from volunteers to who help local biodiversity. You can take a guided tour or the nurseries at 11am or 12pm, and pick up a free plant!
Council’s community native plant nurseries help protect, conserve and promote local biodiversity and natural habitats. The two nurseries supply plants and provide advice for Council’s bushcare volunteers and ecological restoration program, parks and streetscapes, and for schools and community projects. Volunteers are essential to the success of both nurseries.
The nurseries will be open from 10:00 am – 1.00pm at the following locations:
Marrickville Community Native Nursery (next to the child care centre)
Addison Road Community Centre
142 Addison Rd, Marrickville
Rozelle Bay Community Native Nursery
