River Dreams - History of the Cooks River talk, 7 May
Come along and learn about the people and landscape of the Cooks River at a special author talk as part of Heritage Festival 2018. The event is being held on 7 May from 6:30-7:30pm at the Emanuel Tsardoulias Community Library, 362-372 New Canterbury Road, Dulwich Hill.
Author Ian Tyrrell will discuss his book, River Dreams, which explores the complex history of the Cooks River since white settlement - the displacement of Aboriginal inhabitants, the river’s fragile ecosystems that have been damaged or destroyed through re-routing, polluting, and its latest threat – development.
